Who doesn’t love a brilliant garden? I already loved the idea of this deck before I even looked at the cards - the Earth being our garden, and the many faces (faceted) aspects of it. So cool!
The silver edging of the cards seem to fit this deck so well - giving it a little lift, a little shine, bordering the beauty of the cards. And for some reason, these cards shuffle so well - no sticking (despite the silver edges), the lovely noise they make when you shuffle them - they feel sturdy and yet ‘happy’ to slide in wherever the shuffle leads.
The art is a mixture of collage art and drawings, and they are all brilliant. Some of the cards have such a wonderful kaleidoscope of colours and detail.
The colours used reflect the keyword well - there are cards that embody darker themes and ideas, and they may not be as colourful as the other cards, but some of them are favourites of mine (Entropy, Thorns, Cave, PIllar, Ram, Cactus). The balance of dark and light themes in this deck is a triumph - I feel there is a balance - this is not just a ‘love and light’ deck - it’s realistic, thoughtful and represents our experience here in the garden that is Earth SO well - the wonderful and the challenges.
This 52 card deck (including 2 extra cards in the second edition) and simple fold out guidebook (with a separate card with the interpretations for the 2 extra cards) is a joy to use. Every time I have used it, it has delivered truth, food for thought and sometimes a little reminder that sometimes our time on this planet is challenging, but that we are capable of facing whatever comes our way with a sense of curiosity, open mindedness and determination to seek the truth (no matter how many layers down it is buried).
Such a special deck - able to be used in any way you see fit - it will stretch and challenge your intuition in a way that will build your confidence for future reading experiences. Use alone or with other decks - it plays very well with others!

The Faceted Garden Oracle makes a great companion to my first deck, The Illuminated Earth Oracle, as well as pairing well with other tarot and oracle decks. Inspired by the symbolism and metaphor of the garden, the artwork was intuitively hand-painted using a variety of collage, and other mixed media.
This is the second edition and includes two new cards, 52 in total. It comes in a two-piece sturdy box with an accordion-folded guide that includes brief meanings for each keyword. The cards are on 350 gsm paper with a smooth matte finish that's easy to shuffle. They are edged with a holographic foil and have a lovely rainbow shimmer, as does the title on the front of the box. They measure approximately 4.75 x 3 inches.
