I trust my gut implicitly when it comes to selecting decks to use and to purchase.
I had seen the beautiful Nova Witch tarot in some amazing photos and readings, and I was immediately curious, but not sure whether it would appeal to me completely once I had it in my hands...and boy, was I wrong! And I’m always glad to be wrong in this way!
This deck is a bit larger than a standard sized tarot card - so it could be tricky to shuffle for people with smaller hands - however, there are always alternative ways to select cards with larger sized decks. I like that its a larger size - almost makes each card pulled feel even more important - taking up more space physically and in your sight. The backs are simple black and white with a very celestial feel (which I love) - and this simplicity makes the card art on the front of the card pop even more than usual. When colour is used on the cards, it is not bright - it is muted. You bring the brightness in your interpretation of the cards. The guidebook is awesome too - simple interpretations with descriptions of the art used - and the interpretations have a lovely ‘real’ flavour to them. Relatable.
A wonderful deck to use, and pairs fantastically with other decks - I particularly like to pair it with bright cards for contrast. A very worthy mass market deck to add to your special collection!
