I am so honoured to be able to stock the 2nd edition of this fantastic deck. This 2nd edition is mostly the same as the 1st edition - all I’ve noticed are a few colour enhancements to the box and card colours, and maybe a few wording changes in the guidebook. But in essense, it is the same beautiful, deck. So my introduction to the 1st edition is absolutely still relevant for this 2nd edition - so here it is:
Every now and then, a deck comes along with a depth of feeling and resonance that surprises you - almost to the point where you can’t believe it actually exists. Folkloric Forest Tarot is one of those decks for me. The whole experience from the simplicity of the tuck box (normally not a fan of tuck boxes but this one is so good - and easy to open!), the superb and informative guidebook (wouldn’t expect anything less from Lennox Rees (the deck creator)) and the deep forest green edges (like a greeting) from the cards - and that’s before you’ve even looked at the card artwork. It’s unreal.
The forest aesthetic is something I’ve grown up admiring - the whimsy, the life, the death, the smells, the danger, the cycle of life I guess. And the beauty of it all. The artwork on these cards captures it all. Lennox has an amazing eye and collates meaningful visuals that really help you to interpret the cards deeply - even before you’ve looked at the guidebook.
I am so excited that this is the first in a potential series of decks in this style - make sure to follow Lennox for updates, card previews etc.
A very special deck and a brilliant addition to anyone’s deck collection.

The Folkloric Forest Tarot embraces the earth element, the natural environmental surroundings, and Finnish and Northern European folklore, myth, and magic. It highlights the highs and lows of nature, living with the land, and respecting the unknowns of the dense trees.
Each card features a pre-existing antique painting from the public domain. (This is not AI generated). I could see the vision of this world I was curating: hunting, foraging, and farming amongst the brutal honesty of the forest, surviving challenging encounters of life and death. There's nothing held back while living amongst nature.
The beauty of this curation of artwork is the ability to adapt and mold with you. The forest environment embraces many commonalities throughout various myths and lore. And the great thing is, it doesn't have to be about that either.
