O.K - I wasn’t going to state the obvious buuuuuut…..2 years have flown by since the last ‘Now’ update - how did that happen?
As you many of you know, I’ve got a lot going on personally, and I’ve also picked up some full time ‘day job’ work. Much needed, but also makes finding time for MoonAmaia magic a little challenging. But don’t worry, I could not do without this little business (such a sanctuary and outlet for me). And I’m hoping that constantly crafting a good routine will mean I can continue to put time aside for this important little venture.
So, let’s see what’s happening in the MoonAmaia space at the moment - and I have a particularly important (and sad) update about shipping to share with you all too….

Readings

Readings are currently unavailable - mainly because I need time to focus on a few other things right now. But don’t worry, they will be back when the time is right. A big thank you to everyone who has requested a reading from me in the last couple of years.
Every reading is so special - so it’s important I have good head space and time to deliver those in the best way possible every single time!

Markets

The last market that I attended was the last one I mentioned in the last ‘Now’ article - ha ha!
Given the scarcity of spare time, and the need for me to focus on other things, markets have had to go on the back-burner for now. It’s a shame, but the amount of time and effort that goes into market prep is just not going to be possible at the moment.

I will always consider whether its the right time for me to attend a market - but for right now, market attendances are on hold.

Decks

One of the things I’ve really struggled to keep up with is listing new decks on the website.
I’m constantly on the lookout for decks to stock/restock (one of my favourite things to do!), but the bottleneck is finding time to create the listings for new decks that really showcase how amazing the deck is. I don’t like to shortcut on quality with listings, so allocating time to this task is critical for me. I’ve received wonderful feedback from people who love the listings - someone said that it was like browsing in a real shop - this is music to my ears and is the reason why I like to take the time needed to make sure the listings look great and are as useful and as informative as possible.

If you’re looking for a deck specifically, I’m always always happy for you to check in with me.
Also, for the rare occasions that I haven’t been able to list a deck in time for you to request/purchase it, I can create an invoice for you (however, as a few of you will know, I’m trying to avoid that where I can - it’s better for me to spend the extra admin time listing decks rather than creating individual invoices, and if I can get the deck listed, it means its available for everyone at the same time too - win-win!).

Also, don’t forget that I also use decks that are available for purchase in a weekly collective reading that I complete on Instagram (the Weekly Z Read) - go check them out if you want to see a deck up close and personal.

BIG BIG shout out to everyone who has taken the time and effort to provide a review - gosh you guys are just amazing. I’m so lucky to have this opportunity to deliver treasures and magic to you. And to know that it has such an impact and creates so much joy (often on days where its much needed) is wonderful. I love doing it, and I always hope that the love that goes into your reiki infused packages shines through when you unwrap your treasures. Awesome.

This process is automated so I have no way of changing or helping with this process unfortunately. But if you do happen to have any issues with the process, please let me know. Shipping

And last but definitely not least, a little update on shipping.

Well, we all know the world has gone a little cray-cray of late on so many levels - and I can confirm that costs for small businesses are on a constant upward trend. Shipping is no exception to that rule - and in addition to shipping costs……taxes, duties and now tariffs are a very real barrier to being able to trade freely with all countries around the world.

I have unfortunately had to make the sad decision not to ship to the UK, EU countries and the USA at this time.

The rules, regulations and requirements for me to sell goods to customers in these countries are not only changing constantly (its actually difficult to find out exactly what the requirements are and how they impact small businesses and their processes specifically), but they also complicate the overall process greatly, especially for smaller businesses. The administration requirements are onerous, and not adhering to the rules is not something to be considered as there are likely large fines and consequences for non-adherence.
This may not be a permanent situation - as I say, the situation is constantly changing - particularly with regards to the US Tariffs - and I’m hoping that as the situation evolves, better solutions for ensuring we can meet the rules and requirements adequately become available. I will continue to research and seek information in the hopes of finding a legitimate solution. I would dearly love to be able to ship to these countries again.

I’ve updated the ‘Shipping’ information in the ‘General Information’ section of the Info page on this website - indicating which locations are no longer on the ‘shipping’ list.
I’ve also updated the information to reflect the standard process and timelines I’m trying to consistently follow for shipping these days. Essentially, I will do my best to do a shipping round once a week - usually preparing all the packages during the weekend and heading to the post office on Monday. Sometimes this isn’t possible - but what I will do is contact you if your order is likely to be delayed beyond a week. I often travel, so it is possible that there could be delays with shipping if that happens. Rest assured, I will keep in touch with you every step of the way to make sure we come up with a plan that suits you.
